Serving: 2
Ingredients:
½ pound flank steak or boneless sirloin, thinly slice
(Time saver- pick up stir-fry meat at the butcher counter)
2 Medium heirloom tomatoes, medium slice (Sub: Steak tomato or in season red tomatoes)
1 Habanero (divined and seeded) chopped- (optional)
4 cloves finely mashed garlic
2 tbsp mushroom soy sauce (see Vegetarian Mushroom Soy Flavor Dressing recipe)
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
1 tsp organic Sugar or Evaporated Cane Juice or Palm Sugar
½ head of red or green leafy lettuce, speared into leaves, washed and drained
In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat, add garlic, sugar until golden brown. Add meat, Habanero, mushroom soy sauce. Saute beef until medium-well 4 to 5 minutes. Serve with Orzo pasta or brown rice.
Those tomatoes look delicious, really fleshy and colourful. Can’t wait until ours ripen…
